The Curry/Del Norte Orchestra will presents its fall “Symphony by the Sea” at 7 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 94190 Fifth St., Gold Beach.

Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents “Puss in Boots” at 2 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Performances will also be the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Ellensburg Theater Company presents “Curry Christmas Carol II” at 7 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. Shows will also be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, as well as the following weekend. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $8 for children 12 and younger and lap-sitters 5 and younger are admitted free. Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness presents Dirk Powell and Cedric Watson in a program called “At the Old-time Creol-Cajun Crossroad” at 7:30 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors age 65 and older, and $12 for students, K-college full-time. Tickets are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings or Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City.

Brookings Church of the Nazarene presents “The Great Christmas Giveaway” at 6 p.m. at the church, 1600 Chetco Ave. The performance is free and will be followed by a dessert and coffee reception.

Monday, Dec. 9

“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. Tuesday, Dec. 10

Pacific Music Guild presents the North Coast Choral and Crescent City Children’s Choir in concert presenting Christmas songs at 7 p.m. at the Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Tickets are $5 and available at Del Norte Office Supply and at the door. The concert will also be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Thursday, Dec. 12

The annual Singing Christmas Tree will be presented at 7 p.m. at the Foursquare Church, 144 Butte St., Crescent City.  Shows ill also be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 13-14, and at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.

Friday, Dec. 13

The Crescent City Art Walk will include an Art Walk Market from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Mason Mall as well as venues in downtown and at the harbor.

The Del Norte High School dance program will present “Dancing in a Winter Wonderland” at 7 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G. St., Crescent City. The concert will also be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

A rendition of the classic “A Christmas Carol” will be read from 7 to 9 p.m. at Santa’s Headquarters, 925 Third St., Crescent City.

Friends of Music and Stagelights are hosting Incendio in concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Tolowa Events Center at Lucky 7 Casino, 350 N. Indian Road, Smith River. Tickets are $20 and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings, Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City and at the door. Saturday, Dec. 14

The 114th Second Saturday Art Walk will be in downtown Brookings from 4 to 7 p.m. Venues will be near Chetco Avenue, Oak Street, Railroad Street and Art Walk Alley.

Resonance a capella vocal ensemble will present a Christmas concert at 3 p.m. in the large meeting room at Chetco Community Public Library, 405 Alder St., Brookings.

Monday, Dec. 16

Lighthouse Repertory Theater will hold auditions for “Oklahoma” at 6:30 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Come prepared to sing, Southern dance, and act like farmers and ranchers. Auditions will also be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17.
