The 114th Second Saturday Art Walk will be in downtown Brookings from 4 to 7 p.m. Venues will be near Chetco Avenue, Oak Street, Railroad Street and Art Walk Alley.
Resonance a capella vocal ensemble will present a Christmas concert at 3 p.m. in the large meeting room at Chetco Community Public Library, 405 Alder St., Brookings.
The annual Singing Christmas Tree will be presented at 7 p.m. at the Foursquare Church, 144 Butte St., Crescent City. The final performances will be 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.
Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents the final performance of “Puss in Boots” at 2 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Tickets are $8 for adults and seniors and $5 for students and children. Ellensburg Theater Company presents “Curry Christmas Carol II” at 7 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. The final show will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. Del Norte High School Music and Music Boosters presents its annual winter concert at 7 p.m. in Thunen Gym at the high school, 1301 El Dorado St., Crescent City. Performing will be the concert, stage and steel bands, as well as the women’s ensemble and performance and madrigal choirs. Admission is free.
Friday, Dec. 20
The Dance Zone is having a Wintertime Fun Dance Recital at 7:30 p.m. in the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Ballet and contemporary dancing will be performed. The group’s instructor will also perform a hip-hop dance as well. Admission is free, but donations will be accept to benefit Brookings-Harbor Community Theater.
Saturday, Dec. 21
A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will be presented at 4 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 94261 Moore St., Gold Beach. The Christmas story will be told through the reading of nine lessons and the singing of carols. All are welcome. Holiday refreshments will be served. Special music will be performed by the a capella group Purely Voice.
Stagelights will present its fourth annual Community Christmas Concert at 6 p.m. in the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Doors open at 5:45. Admission is a suggested donation of $5 per person. Proceeds benefit Stagelights’ music education and outreach programs. For more information, call 541-373-3727.
