Wednesday, Aug. 21

Gil Kirk performs vocals and piano from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sebastian’s Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. For information, call 541-412-7977.

A Contra Dance workshop will be at 5 p.m. in the Curry Public Library parking lot, 94341 Third St., Gold Beach. No experience necessary. All are welcome.

Thursday, Aug. 22

Brookings artist Audi Stanton will be painting in oil with a palette knife during the Fourth Thursday Noon Demo at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents “The 12 Dancing Princesses” at 7:30 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Shows will also be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, as well as the following Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and free for lap sitters. Tickets are available at New Wave Video in Harbor and Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings. Saturday, Aug. 24

Music at Macklyn presents Allison Irving, accompanied by Ann Christiansen, performing a variety of classics at noon during an open house at Macklyn House assisting living facility, 755 Elk Drive, Brookings. The public is welcome to hear music as well as meet residents and staff.

Don and Shay Hayes will perform a Welcome Home concert from 7 to 9 p.m. at Happy Days Malt Shop, 29935 Harbor Way, Gold Beach.

Sunday, Aug. 25

American Music Festival presents the Joe Craven Trio during its Concerts in the Park series at 1 p.m. at the Azalea Park band shell. The trio is a San Francisco-based multi-instrumentalist group that plays American folk, blues, New Orleans swing, funk and world music. The concert is free.

Saturday, Aug. 31

Chetco Grange 765 will host a community dance from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chetco Grange Community Center, 97895 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor. Music will be performed by Jurassic Country. There is no cover charge. PEO will serve refreshments. Donations accepted. For more information, call 541-469-2445.

Pistol River Concert Association presents The Barn Birds at 8 p.m. at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road.
