Wednesday, April 24

Gil Kirk performs vocals and piano from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sebastian’s Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. For information, call 541-412-7977.

Thursday, April 25

A watercolor demonstration will be given by Illinois Valley artist Debbie Dawson at noon at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. A finger-food luncheon will precede the demonstration. For more information, call 707-464-9133.

Eco-craft night is at 6 p.m. at Jessica’s Cosmic Cafe, 604 Railroad St., Brookings. Come learn to make crafts, art and other things from recycled materials.

Friday, April 26

The second Artistic License will be presented from 5 to 6 p.m. at Brian Scott Gallery, 515 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Writers Ann Boulley, Brindel Stubbs and Al Boulley will talk about “Art That Inspired Me.” Complimentary wine and cheese will be served.

Chetco Pelican Players presents “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Final shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Tickets are $15 for adults and $6 for students and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies and Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts in Brookings, New Wave Video in Harbor and at the door. Jerry Moffit performs on keyboard from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nautical Inn, 16850 Highway 101, Smith River.

Gary Lowdon performs on saxophone from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Holleran’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1210 Chetco Ave., Brookings. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Old Time Music Jam will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at  Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. Musicians of all ages are welcome. For information, call 541-469-6822.

Curry/Del Norte Orchestra will hold its spring concert series. The orchestra will perform at 8:15 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 94190 Fifth St., Gold Beach. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for students through 12th grade. Tickets are available at Gold Beach Books in Gold Beach, Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City, Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings and at the door.

Lighthouse Repertory Theatre will hold auditions for its summer melodrama at 6:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church, 664 H St., Crescent City.  There are parts for five men, three women and nine children. The Pacific Music Guild’s North Coast Chorale will present its spring concert, “Broadway and Beyond,” at 7 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Admission is $5 for general and free for children 5 and younger. Tickets are available at Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City and at the door.

Thursday, May 2

The Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association presents the Side Street Strutters Jazz Band featuring Meloney Collins at 7:30 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Admission is $15 for adults and free for students with identification. Admission is also free for adults who purchase a 2013-14 season ticket, which is $40 for four concerts. A week of Russian Culture begins courtesy of the Mildred Hill Concert Series, Triangle Square Art and Port Orford and Langlois libraries. “The Art of Praise,” a show of paintings and sculptures, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at Triangle Square Art, 343 Sixth St., Port Orford.

Sunday, May 5

A week of Russian Culture, sponsored by the Mildred Hill Concert Series, Triangle Square Art and Port Orford and Langlois libraries, will include a panel discussion  on the connections between Christianity and Orthodox Russian Christianity from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Port Orford Library, 1421 Oregon St. The talk will be about the orthodox ways in the discipline of words, music and art.

Monday, May 6

The monthly art change-out day will be from noon to 2 p.m. at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. The May theme is “Earth’s Four Elements.” For more information, call Jane Opiat at 541-469-1246, or the gallery at 541-469-1807.

Tuesday, May 7

A week of Russian Culture, sponsored by the Mildred Hill Concert Series, Triangle Square Art and Port Orford and Langlois libraries, will include a showing of the Russian film “Russian Art,” a 2002 historical drama, at the Port Orford Library, 1421 Oregon St.
