Wednesday, April 10

Gil Kirk performs vocals and piano from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sebastian’s Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. For information, call 541-412-7977.

Thursday, April 11

Pelican Bay Arts Association will meet at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. The meeting will be at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck.  At 12:30  p.m., Frank (Gus) Gustafson will demonstrate oil painting.  Gustafson is artist of the month. The gallery theme for April is “Close Ups.”

Jazz with Jerry will perform at 7 p.m. at Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings.

Eco-craft night is at 6 p.m. at Jessica’s Cosmic Cafe, 604 Railroad St., Brookings. Come learn to make crafts, art and other things from recycled materials.

Friday, April 12

Ellensburg Theater Company presents “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” at 7 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. Performances will also be at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 13, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, as well as the following weekend. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students with an identification card. Chetco Pelican Players presents “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Shows will also be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, as well as the following two weekends. Tickets are $15 for adults and $6 for students and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies and Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts in Brookings, New Wave Video in Harbor and at the door. Jerry Moffit performs on keyboard from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nautical Inn, 16850 Highway 101, Smith River.

Gary Lowdon performs on saxophone from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Holleran’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1210 Chetco Ave., Brookings. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Old Time Music Jam will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at  Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. Musicians of all ages are welcome. For information, call 541-469-6822.

The 106th Second Saturday Art Walk will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at venues along Chetco Avenue, Oak Street and Art Walk Alley. Special events, music and art will be highlighted.

Brookings Harbor Community Theater will hold auditions for the original musical “Summer Love,” by Brookings residents Gil Kirk and Karl Sandstrom, at 7 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Director Shirley Hyatt is seeking four lead actors. Jon Parmentier will perform first-release music at 7 p.m. at Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Preceding the music at 6 p.m., Chetco Brewing Co. will have a presentation and be available for questions.

The Pistol River Concert Association presents the German-Scottish band Litha at 8 p.m. at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road, Pistol River.
