Hootenanny Singalong meets from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. All ages, instruments and voices are welcome. The event is free. For information, call 541-469-6787.
The Dance Zone presents a recital titled “April Showers Bring May Flowers” from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Kalmiopsis Elementary School gym, 650 Easy St., Brookings. Admission is a suggested donation of $2. Baked goods and bottled water will also be sold.

“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. The Pacific Music Guild presents the North Coast Chorale under the direction of Christie Lynn Rust and the Crescent City Children’s Choir under the direction of Greg Goode at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 319 E St., Crescent City. Pelican Bay Arts Association will meet at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. A general meeting will be at 11 a.m. followed by a potluck at noon. At 12:30 p.m. model boat builder Art Larason will give a presentation. The gallery theme for May is “Historical Brookings.” The featured artists are members of the association’s Life Drawing Group. Ellensburg Theater Company present “The Troubadours of Narnia,”a musical variety show, at 7 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. The 116th Second Saturday Art Walk will be from 3 to 6 p.m. at nine venues within walking distance of Chetco Avenue and Oak Street in Brookings. The event includes art, presentations, music and food.
