Wednesday, March 26

Gil Kirk performs vocals and piano from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sebastian’s Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. For information, call 541-412-7977.

Thursday, March 27

Crescent Harbor Gallery’s “Fourth Thursday” art demo will be at noon, preceded by a potluck at 11:30 a.m. It will given by Deborah Dawson of Cave Junction. The artist and academic teacher works in watercolor, and says, “My work is about layers, the complexity of nature, and that corresponds to my complexity as a human being.”  For more information, visit the gallery at 140 Marine Way, or call 707-464-9133. 

Friday, March 28

Gary Lowdon performs on saxophone from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Holleran’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1210 Chetco Ave., Brookings. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Saturday, March 29

Chetco Grange 765 will host a community dance with live music from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chetco Grange Community Center, 97895 Shopping Center Ave., Harbor. There is no cover charge. Everything is available by donation, including refreshments by PEO sisterhood.

The father-and-son blues duo Twice as Good performs at 8 p.m. at Lucky 7 Casino, 350 N. Indian Road, Smith River. Tickets are $15 and are available at the Tolowa Event Center at the casino. For information, 707-487-7777.

Curry/Del Norte Orchestra presents Symphony by the Sea in concert at 8 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 94190 Fifth St., Gold Beach. Admission is $10 for adults and free for youth though grade 12. A Writer’s Workshop sponsored by the Port Orford and Langlois public libraries will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Port Orford Public Library, 1421 Oregon St. The workshop will be led by Willa Schneberg, a sculptor, poet and visual artist from Portland. Tuesday, April 1

Chetco Pelican Players holds auditions for the musical “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” at 6:30 p.m. at Evergreen Federal Bank, 850 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Those auditioning should bring their own song to sing with or without music. Roles are available for men and women of all ages.

Friday, April 4

The springtime Crescent City Art Walk will occur from 4 to 7 p.m. at the harbor and downtown areas.  Each venue will feature visual art and refreshments.  For more information, call Barbara Burke at 707-464-4745.

Saturday, April 5

Hootenanny Singalong meets from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. All ages, instruments and voices are welcome. The event is free. For information, call 541-469-6787.

Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association presents the Italian Saxophone Quartet in concert at 3 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Tickets are $15 at the door for adults, and free for children and students with ID.  2014-15 season tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door and cost $40 for four concerts.
