Friends of Music and Stagelights Musical Arts Community presents Taarka in concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Tickets are $15 and available at the Curry Coastal Pilot and at the door. Chetco Pelican Players presents the musical production “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. The final show will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5. “Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. Pelican Bay Arts Association meets at the Manley Art Center, 433 Oak St., Brookings. A general meeting will be at 11 a.m. with a potluck following. At 12:30 p.m. Pete Chasar will present an 80-minute documentary film, “Tim’s Vermeer,” which proposes that Vermeer  used optical devices to produce his paintings. The gallery theme for July is “Abstracts.” The featured artist is Magda Druzdzel. Visitors are welcome. For more information, call 541-469-1807.

The 118th Second Saturday Art Walk will be from 3 to 6 p.m. at nine venues within walking distance of Chetco Avenue and Oak Street in Brookings. The event includes art, presentations, music and food.

Pistol River Concert Association presents Time Sawyer in concert at 8 p.m. at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road. American Music Festival presents the Blues Box Bayou Band in concert at 1 p.m. at the Azalea Park stage. The concert is free.

Performer Rich Glauber will present an interactive children’s program titled “Music in Action!” at 2 p.m. at the Langlois Public Library, 48234 Highway 101. Admission is free.
