Saturday, July 19

A Tolowa Dance Demonstration will be at 1 p.m. at the Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park day use area, located off Highway 199, in Hiouchi. The event is free. For more information, contact National Park Ranger Jim Wheeler at 707-465-7764, or the park information line at 707-465-7335.

The Mildred Hill Concert Series presents The Brinkman-Rogers Duo in concert at 7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 2015 Washington St., Port Orford. Earlier in the day, at 2:30, the duo will host a workshop featuring flutes and guitars at the Langlois Public Library, 48234 Highway 101.

Ballroom dancing will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, 1 Ohio St., Bandon. Admission is $3.

Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents a dinner theater featuring two one-act plays — “Faith, Hope and Cyanide” and “Cards, Cups and Crystal Ball” — at 7 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Tickets are $18 and may be purchased at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings and New Wave Video in Harbor. Sweet Wednesday, a folk duo from Boston, will perform a free concert at 2 p.m. at Langlois Public Library, 48234 Highway 101. For more information, call the library at 541-348-2066.

Monday, July 21

The Fair Weatherheads will perform at 7 p.m. at Ship Ashore Resort, 12370 Highway 101, Smith River.

“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. Tuesday, July 22

Ellensburg Theater Company presents the melodrama “Money in the Bank” at 7:30 p.m. at the Rogue Playhouse, 94196 Moore St., Gold Beach. Performances will also be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, July 23 and 24, as well as the following Sunday through Thursday. Thursday, July 24

Sara Broderick, Brookings artist and community college instructor, will be giving a demonstration at noon at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. A finger-food luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. prior to the demonstrations. All are welcome. For more information, call 707-464-4608.

Rapp Brush will perform country swing music from 7 to 8 p.m. in the program area, near space C22, in the Harris Beach State Park campground.

Friday, July 25

Artistic License will be from 4:45 to 6 p.m. at Brian Scott Gallery, 515 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Presentations will include Leslie Wolf, “The Carousel Horse History”; Michael Mavris, “A Tale of the Greek Bouzouki”; Randy McMillan, “What is a Graphite Artist?”; and Angela Ewing, “Everyone Has a Story. What now?”

Chetco Pelican Players will hold a Midsummer Dance Party from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave. The cost is $10 per person or $18 per couple. The event is for people 16 and older. Hamburgers, hot dogs and soda will be available. For more information, call 541-469-1857.

American Music Festival presents the The Koles in concert at 1 p.m. at the Azalea Park stage. The concert is free.

Friday, Aug. 1

The Cape Blanco Country Music Festival will be all day and continue Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2 and 3, just outside Cape Blanco State Park in Sixes. The event includes headliner musicians Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley and Eric Church. For more information, visit http://capeblancofestival.com.
