Wednesday, April 2

Gil Kirk performs vocals and piano from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sebastian’s Seafood Grill, 16011 Boat Basin Road, Harbor. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. For information, call 541-412-7977.

Friday, April 4

The springtime Crescent City Art Walk will occur from 4 to 7 p.m. at the harbor and downtown areas.  Each venue will feature visual art and refreshments.  For more information, call Barbara Burke at 707-464-4745.

Gary Lowdon performs on saxophone from 6 to 9 p.m. at O’Holleran’s Restaurant and Lounge, 1210 Chetco Ave., Brookings. He also performs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Saturday, April 5

Hootenanny Singalong meets from noon to 2 p.m. at the Chetco Activity Center, 550 Chetco Lane, Brookings. All ages, instruments and voices are welcome. The event is free. For information, call 541-469-6787.

The second annual Southern Oregon Hip-Hop and Rock Benefit Concert starts at 5 p.m. at the Brookings Elks Lodge, 800 Elk Drive. Admission is free with donation of five cans of non-perishable food.

Sunday, April 6

Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association presents the Italian Saxophone Quartet in concert at 3 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Tickets are $15 at the door for adults, and free for children and students with ID.  2014-15 season tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door and cost $40 for four concerts. Pelican Bay Arts Association will hold its general meeting at 11 a.m. with a potluck lunch following at Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings. At 12:30 p.m. there will be a drawing demonstration by Rob Decker. The gallery theme for April is “Rain.” The featured artist is photographer Richard Leathers. Stagelights and Friends of Music present a concert by Seth Glier and Joe Nerney at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Tickets are $15 and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies and the Curry Coastal Pilot in Brookings and Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City. Chetco Pelican Players presents “The Importance of Being Earnest” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Shows will also be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, as well as the following two weekends. The Second Saturday Art Walk returns at its new time, from 3 to 6 p.m., at venues along Chetco Avenue, Oak Street and Art Walk Alley. The event will feature art displays, presentations, refreshments and live music. 

Pistol River Concert Association presents David Jacobs, slide guitar player and song poet, appearing with Bob Beach on harmonica at 8 p.m. at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road.
