Saturday, April 12

The Second Saturday Art Walk returns at its new time, from 3 to 6 p.m., at venues along Chetco Avenue, Oak Street and Art Walk Alley. The event will feature art displays, presentations, refreshments, live music and a parade. 

Pistol River Concert Association presents David Jacobs, slide guitar player and song poet, appearing with Bob Beach on harmonica at 8 p.m. at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 24252 Carpenterville Road. Tickets are $15 and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings, Gold Beach Books in Gold Beach, online at http://www.pistolriver.com, by calling 541-247-2848 or at the door.

Safe Harbor Christian Fellowship presents “Heaven’s Connection” in concert at 6 p.m.  at the church, 15786 Highway 101, Harbor. For more information, call 541-469-0260.

Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents “New and Improv’d, An Evening of Improvisational Humor and Sadness,” at 7 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Performers include Todd Pearson, Scott Graves, Dilan Cuthbertson and Josiah Wise. VIP seating is $40, all other seats are free.  Donations accepted.

Chetco Pelican Players presents “The Importance of Being Earnest” at 7:30 p.m. at the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Ave., Brookings. Shows will also be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, as well as the following two weekends. Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA) presents the Turtle Island Quartet at 7:30 p.m. at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St., Crescent City. Tickets cost $20 for general, $15 for seniors (65 and older) and $12 for students (K through college, full-time) and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing and Art Supplies in Brookings, Del Norte Office Supply in Crescent City and at the door beginning at 6:45 p.m.  For more information, call DNACA at 707-464-1336.

 Monday, April 14

“Creative Mondays” take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. Attendees may come for only part of the day if wished; a 3 p.m. critique is encouraged. This is not limited to painters, but for any artwork a person wants to work on. Brookings Harbor Community Theater presents “The Tale of Peter Rabbit (and Benjamin Bunny)” at 7:30 p.m. at the Harbor Performing Arts Center, 97900 Shopping Center Ave. Showtimes are also at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, as well as the following weekend. Tickets are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for students and $5 for children 5 and younger. Sequoyah Oregon will perform at 7 p.m. at The Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings.

Saturday, April 19

Crescent Harbor Gallery will host its annual Spring Salad Luncheon and Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. The cost is $7.50. The event will include a silent auction. For more information, call 707-464-9133.

Thursday, April 24

The Fourth Thursday Art Demo will feature Arlene Krogstad giving a demonstration in watercolor, drawing and other media. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a finger-food luncheon followed by the demonstration at noon at Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Crescent City. All are welcome. Friday, April 25

Adam Taylor will perform at 7 p.m. at The Vista Pub, 1009 Chetco Ave., Brookings.
