Highway 199 to partially reopen at 2 p.m. Tuesday

Caltrans expects to reopen Highway 199 for controlled traffic at 2 p.m. today, according to Caltrans spokesman Julie East.

Caltrans advises that conditions can change at any time and motorists should anticipate delays due to traffic control.

The main route between the coast and Medford  was closed Monday morning after a large rockslide covered the road near Patrick Creek.

An update from Caltrans is expected at 2 p.m.  For current road information on California state highways call 800-427-7623 or visit www.dot.ca.gov
