The Feb. 3 story “Port on the mend?” incorrectly reported that the Book Dock on the boardwalk at the Port of Brookings Harbor was closed. It is not, and the Pilot regrets the error. The Book Dock, one of the first retail businesses at the port more than 16 years ago, is currently for sale, but the business continues to operate under regular business hours: Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The phone number is 541-469-6070. “The Book Dock has every expectation of continuing service at its current location and participating in the future growth of the Port of Brookings Harbor,” said Sharon Pellow, who operates the business with co-owner Cynthia Voortman. |
