Woody Schamel Woody Schamel, 69, of Brookings, passed away Jan. 27, 2010, at his home. A celebration of life potluck will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 31, at Brookings Elks Lodge 1934, 800 Elk Drive, in Brookings. Donald Eugene La Bonte Longtime Brookings resident Donald Eugene La Bonte, 85, died Jan. 24, 2010, in Brookings. He was born May 24, 1924, in Portland to Julia and Barney La Bonte. No formal service is planned. His ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean. Submitted by the family. |
