Beverly Jean Brissette

She was born Sept. 7, 1939, in Aiken, Minn., to Lawrence and Eleanor Cook.

In the late 1940s she moved with her family to Cottage Grove. It was there that she met her grade-school sweetheart Kedric L. Brissette. The two married in 1958. Together they had seven children.

Bev was a devoted wife and mother who loved life and spending time with family and friends. Her warmth, humor, and spunky personality were enjoyed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband Kedric L. Brissette of Brookings; children Robert Brissette of Washougal, Wash., Sue. A. Spence of Brookings, Dianna L. Wiles of Pistol River, Kedric L. Brissette Jr. of Brookings, Betty J. Harer of Sweet Home, Kathleen L. Carter of Brookings; brothers Larry and Butch Cook of Drain. She also left behind 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grand-children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debbie L. Brissette; brother Dave Cook; a grandson and a great-grandson.

No service will be held.

Bev’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support through this time of sorrow.
