Kenneth “Kenny J” Jackson |
Kenneth “Kenny J” Jackson, of Brookings, left us June 10, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. He was 66. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Fely’s Cafe at Sporthaven Beach in Harbor. There will be a potluck Celebration of Life immediately following, at the same location. Kenny was born Aug. 9, 1942, in Tyler, Texas, to Ed Marion and Eula Mae (Crocker) Jackson. He moved as a child with his family to Bakersfield, Calif., where he was raised and educated. In 1982, he married Raeanne Baum in Reno, Nev. He spent over 40 years as a car salesman in Bakersfield, Medford and Brookings, and retired at the age of 62. Fishing was his passion in life. He loved anything to do with the ocean, and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He also loved his four poodles, and was completely devoted to them. Survivors include his wife Raeanne of Brookings; six children, Karri Henderson, Krista Jackson, Bradley Jackson and Brian Jackson, all of Bakersfield, Ryan Moore of Brookings and Jeremy Moore of Central Point; a brother, Wayne Jackson of Medford; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials in his name may be made to Friends of Curry County Hospice, P.O. Box 348, Gold Beach, OR 97444. Arrangements by Redwood Memorial Chapel. |
